Emily Massingill named editor of the Monroe Times

Emily Massingill

Emily Massingill has joined the staff of the Monroe Times as its editor.

Massingill has been a freelance writer for the Monroe Times and other publications for the last four years. Prior to that, she was the editor of The Gazette of Pecatonica and Winnebago, Ill., and the Tempo of Byron, Ill.

Massingill has a bachelor of science degree in communication technologies Massingill with an emphasis in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

She is a previous staff member of Morris Newspaper Corporation of Wisconsin, having served as a reporter for the Darlington Republican Journal, Platteville Journal and the Tri-County Press of Cuba City. The Monroe Times is a publication of Morris Media of Monroe and a subsidiary of Morris Newspaper Corporation of Wisconsin.

Massingill is a resident of northern Stephenson County, Ill. She is married to Brent and they have three sons.
