Janelle Miller

Janelle Miller, a Boscobel native, has been named the editor of The Democrat Tribune in Mineral Point. Miller succeeds Sara Lomasz Flesch, who stepped down as the editor, but will continue to report on the city council and write features.

Miller majored in English literature at Viterbo University in La Crosse and was the editor of the college newspaper, Lumen. In college, she worked for the La Crosse Tribune and Winona Daily News as an agate clerk and page designer. She was the editor of The Maple River Messenger in Mapleton, Minn., and an administrative assistant for The Catholic Herald in Madison.

Miller began freelancing for News Publishing Inc. and wrote about government in Cross Plains, Mazomanie, Mount Horeb and Blue Mounds before being hired as the Belleville/sports editor for the Post Messenger Recorder in New Glarus. She later became editor of the News Sickle Arrow in Black Earth.
