The Newspaper Institute (formerly known as the Institute of Newspaper Technology) at the University of Tennessee is conducting an anonymous survey of newspaper publishers and managers to evaluate the state of the newspaper industry. In 2017, the survey was completed by publishers and managers at more than 900 newspapers in the United States and Canada.
Kevin Slimp, director of the Newspaper Institute, said the information collected in the survey will be shared with newspaper associations and other interested groups in the coming months.
The WNA is asking one person (either a publisher or other manager) from each member newspaper to consider completing this anonymous survey.
