4 things to do besides waterparks in Wisconsin Dells

JustAgame Fieldhouse

Wisconsin Dells is known nationwide for being the Waterpark Capital of the World, and while that’s true, there is so much more fun to be had outside of the city’s many waterparks. Whether you’re in town for the first time or the 100th, here are a few things we think you’ll enjoy:

Visit JustAgame Fieldhouse

The fieldhouse is a six-court athletic complex that hosts everything from youth basketball camps to high school basketball games, and whether you’re playing or watching, the facility makes for an unmatchable atmosphere, right in the heart of downtown Wisconsin Dells.

Take a Dells Boat Tour

The dells of the Wisconsin River give the city its name, and there’s no better way to see the dells than by taking a boat tour. For an adrenaline-inducing experience, try the Jet Boat Adventures tour. For something a little more low-key, the Upper Dells Boat Tour is perfect for taking in the beauty and wildlife of the river. And for a romantic experience, you’ve got to try the Sunset Dinner Cruise, which features live music, a delicious dinner and beautiful views.

Spend a day at Wilderness Resort

There is so much fun to be had all in one place when you’re at the Wilderness Resort. From waterparks, laser tag, go-karts and golf, to ziplining, bumper boats, escape rooms and arcades, visitors of all ages will stay busy. Add to that the gorgeous rooms in the hotel or at Glacier Canyon Lodge, and you’re sure to feel at home when staying at the Wilderness.

Climb aboard an Original Wisconsin Duck

Arguably the most iconic and can’t-miss attraction in Wisconsin Dells is the Wisconsin Ducks. The historic and amphibious vehicle drives up and down scenic hills and winding trails, and then plunges into the Wisconsin River for a scenic boat ride. Plain and simple: if you haven’t experienced an Original Wisconsin Duck tour, you haven’t experienced the Dells.

There are literally thousands of unique activities for families to experience while visiting Wisconsin Dells. What are some of your favorites? Share with us in the comments below!
