Retired editor Jim Massey named Wisconsin FFA VIP

MADISON – Jim Massey, who retired last year as editor of The (Eau Claire) Country Today, was recognized this summer as the Wisconsin FFA VIP at the 89th State FFA Convention in Madison.

Massey joined the weekly agricultural newspaper in 1983 as a regional editor, later becoming its general manager and editor in 1995. He extensively covered the Wisconsin Association of FFA during his 34 years at The Country Today, attending numerous state conventions, participating in golf outings and serving as Wisconsin FFA Foundation Board President.

In addition to being named this year’s VIP, Massey’s service has been recognized with several honors, including Honorary FFA degrees and a Distinguished Service Award.
