Meet the Center for Journalism Ethics’ new Journalist in Residence

David Folkenflik

MADISON – UW-Madison’s Center for Journalism Ethics will welcome its newest Journalist in Residence, NPR’s David Folkenflik, during a media panel on Nov. 7 at the Overture Center in Madison.

The free panel, titled “Media after the Midterms: Journalism Ethics in a Contentious Age,” begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

Folkenflik is the media correspondent for NPR News and the host and editor of On Point from NPR and WBUR. His reporting focuses on the figures and changes that shape and affect the journalism industry. Folkenflik has reported on the media’s relationship with politicians and the general public and the fight over information in the Trump era.

Before joining NPR, Folkenflik spent more than a decade at the Baltimore Sun, covering higher education, politics and media.

The Journalist in Residence program brings nationally renowned journalists to the UW-Madison campus to engage with students and the public. Past Journalists in Residence include Vox’s Sarah Kliff and TIME’s Molly Ball.
