APPLETON – Devi Shastri joined The (Appleton) Post-Crescent this week as its new education watchdog reporter.
Shastri, a Marquette University graduate, previously served as education reporter at the Oshkosh Northwestern, another member of the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin. She also was a summer intern for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where she helped with the newspaper’s 2016 “Outbreak” series about diseases that jump from animals to humans.
In her new role, Shastri will focus on regional coverage of education in the Fox Valley, including UW-Oshkosh, Lawrence University and Fox Valley Technical College. She’ll also cover K-12 districts, including Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Kimberly and more.
