MIDDLETON – As the 2018 primary election season wrapped up last week, Ballotpedia.org reached one billion page views since being founded in 2006.
Ballotpedia, based in Middleton, is an online encyclopedia of American politics and elections. Its articles have tallied more than 85 million page views this year, topping the site’s 2017 total by more than 60 percent. Ballotpedia also has seen 57 percent higher traffic than the same period in 2016.
By providing neutral, accurate and verifiable information on local, state and federal politics and government, Ballotpedia hopes to preserve and expand knowledge about politics. It also aims to be a valuable resource both for those running for office and for voters.
All of Ballotpedia’s articles are written by a staff of more than 50 writers and researchers.
