UW-Whitewater chancellor didn’t notify campus of allegations against husband until months later

WHITEWATER – After a UW-Whitewater investigation concluded in June that Pete Hill, husband of Chancellor Beverly Kopper, had sexually harassed female employees, UW System President Ray Cross stripped him of his honorary role and banned him from campus.

Kopper didn’t notify the public that her husband was no longer allowed on campus until last week, though. The announcement came just as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel was about to publish its first report on the allegations, based on records it had just obtained.

Now, a young woman who worked in the chancellor’s office while a graduate student at UW-Whitewater has come forward with more sexual harassment accusations.
