Donald Miller, former longtime newspaper printer, dies at 88

Donald Miller, a Fond du Lac native who worked for 44 years as a printer at The Reporter, died Oct. 28 at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was 88.

Born on June 2, 1930, Miller graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1948 before spending his entire working career at The Reporter. 

Miller joined the National Guard in September 1948 and was a corporal upon discharge. He also served in the Army Reserves for three years, earning the rank of sergeant.

On May 30, 1953, Miller married Luella Wegener. Together they had four daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 10 at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin-American Drive, Fond du Lac. A memorial service at the church will follow.
