WITTENBERG – The Wittenberg Enterprise & Birnamwood News celebrated its 125th anniversary on Friday.
The Wittenberg Enterprise, first published on Nov. 16, 1893, was started by William M. Hollembaek and Irwin R. Nye. In 1971, it was combined with the Birnamwood News.
In 2016, NEW Media Inc., formerly Wolf River Media, purchased the newspaper from Miriam Nelson, who continues to serve as editor.
