Former newspaper editor Bonita Mrock dies at 87

Bonita Mrock, who spent time as a newspaper editor in the Gilman area, died Friday, Dec. 21. She was 87.

Mrock was born in Stanley and grew up in the Gilman area. After graduating from Gilman High School in 1948, she worked in the area as a newspaper editor, a waitress and in a chiropractic office.

Mrock, who was married to Kurt Kruger and after his death remarried to Robert Mrock, had five children, one stepdaughter, 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at a later date in 2019.
