WCIJ to host Report for America journalist

MADISON – Report for America has chosen the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism to host one of 50 journalists across the country this year.

Report for America is a national service program that places reporters in local newsrooms to report on undercovered topics and communities. Journalists in the program typically have three to six years of experience.

WCIJ is looking for a reporter with audio skills and podcast production experience to cover criminal justice issues in Wisconsin. Topics will include wrongful convictions and official misconduct.

Reporters interested in applying for the WCIJ position or other RFA newsrooms can apply here by Feb. 8.

Other Report for America newsrooms selected for 2019 include the Associated Press, Detroit Free Press, The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Salt Lake Tribune.
