WNA Convention room block deadline extended

The 2019 WNA Convention discounted room rate has been extended until Wednesday, March 6. Be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible, though, to guarantee your room.

Convention will kick off at 10 a.m. Thursday as we hear from Alex Lasry, senior vice president for the Milwaukee Bucks, former White House aide, and chair of Milwaukee’s bid for the 2020 Democratic National Convention. His discussion will be followed by a full day of workshops, a welcome reception and the WNA Awards Banquet on Thursday night.

On Friday, nationally recognized journalist, researcher and media critic Tom Rosenstiel will kick of the day with a general session before attendees head to breakout sessions about topics including watchdog reporting, generating revenue and cutting costs, navigating newsroom change, taking better photos, engaging audiences, reaching younger readers, using social networks to gather news, better page & ad design, writing for the web and more!

In addition to this year’s new extended schedule, the WNA is launching exciting networking and idea sharing opportunities, industry flash sessions and more!
