MERRILL – Jeremy Ratliff has been named editor of the Merrill Courier and Merrill Foto News, the newspapers announced Friday.
Ratliff was named to the position Monday, March 18. He replaces Collin Lueck, who left at the end of January for a new role at Church Mutual Insurance Company. Ratliff has led the editorial departments in Merrill since Lueck’s departure.
Starting as a freelance sports reporter in 2008, Ratliff has been with the Merrill newspapers full-time since 2014. He credits Lueck and former Merrill Courier owner and publisher Jeff Hovind for teaching him “literally everything I know about journalism.”
