Robert Mentzer to join Wisconsin Public Radio as reporter

WAUSAU – After nearly 12 years with Gannett newspapers, Robert Mentzer will join Wisconsin Public Radio as a rural communities reporter.

USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin on Wednesday reported that Friday will be Mentzer’s last day as editor of its Living & Storytelling Team. Mentzer will join WPR on Monday, working out of Wausau.

Mentzer started his journalism career in 2007 at the Wausau Daily Herald, where he later became opinion editor. He also served as a regional opinion editor for the network before taking his current position.
