MADISON – Phoebe Petrovic, currently a news fellow at Wisconsin Public Radio, will investigate criminal justice issues for the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism as a Report for America corps member.

WCIJ on Thursday announced the hire, with Petrovic scheduled to begin her new role in June. The Center’s Wisconsin Watch newsroom was one of 50 across the country selected to host a Report for America reporter in 2019.

Petrovic, a 2018 graduate of Yale University, will spearhead an investigation into police and prosecutorial misconduct and possible wrongful convictions in Wisconsin. She previously interned with Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting and worked as a full-time freelance producer for Here & Now, a radio show by NPR and WBUR public radio in Boston.
