Lawmakers honor retiring Watertown editor Tom Schultz

WATERTOWN – Tom Schultz, who recently retired after 45 years as Watertown Daily Times managing editor, was honored by Wisconsin lawmakers for his service to the newspaper and community.

Senate Majority leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) and State Rep. John Jagler (R-Watertown) presented Schultz with a citation from the Wisconsin State Senate.

Scott Peterson, a veteran Milwaukee journalist and WNA Foundation president, was named as Schultz’s successor. Peterson previously served as an editor in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newsroom and editor-in-chief of the Waukesha-based Now News Group.
