Mackenzie Krumme to cover Stoughton for UNG

STOUGHTON – Mackenzie Krumme, a Stoughton native, has joined the staff of United Newspaper Group as a community reporter covering her hometown.

Krumme graduated from UW-Madison in 2018 with her bachelor’s degree in journalism and international studies. While at UW, she also worked as an editor at The Badger Herald student newspaper.

Most recently, Krumme served as a reporting intern for Madison Magazine and Madison365. She also has done freelance work for UNG in the past.

Krumme takes over for Amber Levenhagen, who is now covering local government in Stoughton and Oregon for the newspaper group.

As the community reporter, Krumme will work closely with Emilie Heidemann and Kimberly Wethal, who cover the communities of Oregon and Verona, respectively.
