Nigbor’s last day in her role as Wisconsin regional editor will be Friday. She is leaving for a job with State Farm Insurance in River Falls. In a farewell column Wednesday, Nigbor noted the opportunity to spend more time with her family as a major factor in the decision.

As regional editor, Nigbor oversaw all four RiverTown newspapers in Wisconsin: the Hudson Star-Observer, New Richmond News, (Ellsworth) Pierce County Herald, and River Falls Journal. Beginning next week, those four newspapers will become two, as the Hudson, New Richmond and River Falls newspapers merge to form the Star-Observer.

Prior to her current regional role, Nigbor served as editor of the Pierce County Herald from 2015 to 2017 and as a New Richmond News reporter from 2013 to 2015. She also was a staff correspondent for the River Falls Journal from 2008 to 2013.
