LAKE GENEVA – Daniel Schoettler, a Kenosha native and UW-Whitewater graduate, has joined the Lake Geneva Regional News reporting staff.
Schoettler introduced himself to readers Wednesday, detailing his journalism experience and what led him to Lake Geneva. Being close to home, he noted, was the “icing on the cake.”
Since graduating from UW-Whitewater in 2014, Schoettler has worked primarily in a freelance role covering sports. He has written for the Kenosha News, Southern Lakes Newspapers and Hometown News Group. In college, he also served as a staff writer for the Royal Purple student newspaper.
Schoettler has broadcast journalism experience as well, working with UWWTV and WSUW, UW-Whitewater’s student TV and radio stations. He’s also done freelance work for WGTD radio in Kenosha and worked part-time for NRG Media in Fort Atkinson.
