This iconic photo of Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre, taken by Wisconsin State Journal photographer Steve Apps, was named one of the 100 best photos in NFL history.

The photo, taken by State Journal photographer Steve Apps, features the Hall of Fame quarterback celebrating a first down as the Green Bay Packers hosted the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC divisional round playoff game on Jan. 12, 2008. The snow globe-like scene has since become one of the iconic images of Favre’s career.

The honor comes as the NFL celebrates its 100th season. Several other Packers photos also made the list, including legendary images on Vince Lombardi, Jerry Kramer, Bart Starr and Reggie White.

Apps’ photo previously won the Dave Boss Award of Excellence in the 40th annual Pro Football Hall of Fame Photo Contest. It also won Photograph of the Year in the contest’s feature category that season.
