ACLU of Wisconsin names former journalist Alyssa Mauk as communications director

The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin has named former journalist Alyssa Mauk as communications director, the organization announced Monday.

Mauk will handle communications strategy for the ACLU of Wisconsin, as well as media and public relations, social media and website management. She previously spent five years as a reporter for The Journal Times in Racine.

Michael Martoccia joins APG as VP of digital sales and marketing

Michael Martoccia, a frequent speaker at past WNA Conventions, has been named vice president of digital sales and marketing for Adams Publishing Group.

In the newly created role, Martoccia will oversee digital revenue development across all APG markets, as well as sales training/enablement and the High Road Agency, APG’s internal digital organization.

Peninsula Pulse names Debra Fitzgerald news editor

The Peninsula Pulse has named former longtime Door County journalist Debra Fitzgerald as its news editor, the newspaper announced last month.

Fitzgerald, who had spent the last 11 years at a newspaper in southwest Minnesota, introduced herself to readers in a column. She previously had worked eight years in the Door County Advocate newsroom before leaving Wisconsin in 2008.
