2017 Hall of Fame Dinner

The Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation will induct former Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Editor Marty Kaiser and Watertown Daily Times Editor Tom Schultz into the Wisconsin Newspaper Hall of Fame on Thursday, Nov. 16 in Madison.

The event is open to the public and relatives, friends and co-workers of the inductees are encouraged to attend. The 2017 Hall of Fame Banquet & Fundraiser will be held at The Madison Club, 5 E. Wilson St., Madison, with a reception at 6 p.m. featuring a cash bar and the WNA Foundation Giving Tree auction, and dinner at 7 p.m. The induction ceremony will immediately follow dinner.

Tickets are $55 per person or $500 for a table of 10, and can be purchased online at bit.ly/WNAHOF17.

A block of rooms have been reserved at a reduced rate of $139 at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. Rooms can be reserved at bit.ly/WNAHOFRooms or by calling 877-510-7465 and asking for the group NEWS. The deadline to reserve a room is October 17.

Proceeds will benefit the WNA Foundation, a not-for-profit organization established in 1980 to enhance the quality and future of Wisconsin’s newspapers and the communities they serve. It does this through fellowship, internship and scholarship programs, providing training for current and future journalists and supporting other journalism-related programs that help fulfill the Foundation’s mission.

The WNAF Hall of Fame was created in 2001 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the newspaper industry in Wisconsin. Since its inception, 47 individuals have been honored with Hall of Fame inductions.
