Behind the Headlines: #MeToo – What now?
Scandalous headlines. Graphic, sordid details. Men and women alike are at a loss for words. In the wake of the #MeToo movement, the Milwaukee Press Club will present a panel discussion on those revelations of sexual harassment and abuse, and how they have impacted businesses and the workplace. This panel promises personal accounts and practical tips for navigating professional relationships – for both women and men – in industries across the board.
You will hear from someone who was targeted during a job interview, how to identify harassment and what to do about it. We’ll have an attorney who’s handled many sexual harassment cases and a human resource expert who provides corporate training on these subjects. We’ll seek to answer questions on where we are in the workplace since #MeToo began. For example, are men afraid to even speak to women in a business setting? And, how can business professionals and companies move forward?
