Description

Job purpose

Provides overall support to WNA staff, including fulfilling administrative requests, organizing and scheduling appointments and assuming receptionist duties.

Duties and responsibilities

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement and monitor programs as directed by management
  • Answer incoming calls and route to the appropriate party
  • Provide scheduling support by booking appointments and scheduling meetings
  • Assists WNA staff with the generation of reports, presentations and project materials
  • Assists with recordkeeping and data entry
  • Manage office administrative tasks, including ordering of office supplies; maintenance of membership database; coordinating of member press credentials; scheduling travel arrangements; and assisting with member correspondence
  • Prepare correspondence letters, emails and memos as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products, especially Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of the newspaper industry
  • Experience using a membership database
  • Event experience
