Laura Tucker, Julie Vander Velden and Scott Koker worked their last day together on Friday, Nov. 15. In addition to copy editing, they also served as page designers for the News.

Liz Snyder, a columnist, editor and features writer for the News, wrote about their departures in her weekly column. She also noted that Vander Velden had trained her on the copy desk in December 1987, when Snyder joined the News.
